RE:              Monthly Building Permit report

The department issued 158 building permits during the month of March as compared to 247 permits issued in March 2006.  During the first three months of the year a total of 456 permits have been issued, 650 permits were issued for the same period in 2006. 

A review of the permit history reveals 32 single-family permits issued this year, 65 single-family building permits were issued for the three month period in 2006.  A total of 73 building permits have been issued this year for remodel work compared to 72 building permits issued for the three month period in 2006. 

Fees collected for the month were $58,820.91 as compared to $99,573.50 for the month of March 2006.  A total of $123,822.39 have been collected in building permit fee revenue this year, last year the revenues collected for the same period were at $222,238.75.  Let me know if you have any questions related to this report.
