April 2009 Monthly Permit Report

 

 

There were 169 permits issued in April 2009, compared to 189 in 2008.  Permit valuation was $6,482,254 compared to $19,402,345 last year.  Fees were $47,977.68 compared to $77,670.07 last year.  These statistics will be tracked throughout the year in the following table:

Six permits were issued for new single-family dwellings along with two permits for apartment buildings containing 16 dwelling units, compared to 14 single-family and no other residential permits in April last year.  The number of permits and total number of residential units will be tracked throughout the year in the following table, similar to permit valuation and fees:

The highest valued projects for which permits were issued in April were two multi-family dwellings for the Grove Apartments at 4301 W 24th Place, valued at $2,038,332, and a Taco Bell restaurant at 4721 Bauer Farm Drive valued at $600,000.  Eight permits were issued for public projects, including four permits for school district athletic field projects, two permits for tenant finishes at the new LMH medical office building, one permit for a mammography suite for LMH West at 4525 W. 6th Street, and one permit for HVAC work at City Hall.  The total value of permits issued for these public projects was $1,546,805.
