Please include the following item on the City Commission Agenda for consideration at the June 5, 2012 meeting:

Set a Bid Opening Date of June 26, 2012 for Bid No.B1237; Clinton Water Treatment Plant Transfer Pump #3 Replacement.

Project History/Status

The Clinton Water Treatment Plant uses transfer pumps to move water around the plant and to storage. Transfer pump #3 moves water from the filters to the on-site storage prior to sending it to the water distribution system. Transfer pump #3 has been in service since 1979 and has been rehabilitated several times in that time period. The transfer pump has currently exceeded its serviceable life. Utilities staff have developed bidding and specifications for the transfer pump, motor, freight, and installation.

Project Funding: 

The project will be funded from the 2012 Operations and Maintenance budget 501.7.7210.2531.

Action Request:  Set a Bid Opening Date of June 26, 2012 for Bid No.B1237; Clinton Water Treatment Plant Transfer Pump #3 Replacement.
