RE:	HVAC Maintenance contract for City Hall, Lawrence Arts Center, Community Health Building and Riverfront offices

Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the December 11, 2012 meeting:

On December 4, 2012, the City of Lawrence opened three (3) bids for Heating, ventilation, and Air Conditioning maintenance contract.

Project Description

Project consists of the HVAC maintenance for the Arts Center (946 New Hampshire), City Hall (6 East 6th) Street, Riverfront Offices (Developmental Services), Douglas County Health Building (200 Maine).

Proposal Review

Bids were reviewed by Public Works Department. The City of Lawrence will work to assure all procedures are followed, in accordance with the contract.

Contract Schedule:

This contract, if accepted will start on January 1, 2013. Contracts will be signed by both parties.

Project Funding:

The Funding will come from operation a budget from each building.

The following bids were received:

P1 Group	99,384.00

Recommendation:

Based on a thorough review by Public Works Department, we are recommending the selection of Trane.

Action Requested.

Approve and authorize the City Manager to sign a contract to award, Bid # B1264, in the amount of 77,740.00.00.
