RE:	2014 Farmers Market Agreement

The Lawrence Farmers Market has requested City Commission approval of an agreement to allow the market to operate in City Parking Lot 8 (on the 800 blocks of New Hampshire and Rhode Island) in 2014. The attached agreement is identical to last year’s agreement except for the dates. The agreement allows the following uses:

· Saturday markets are allowed to use the entirety of Lot 8 (see Exhibit A), Saturdays, 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., April 12, 2014 through November 22, 2014.

· Tuesday markets are allowed to use a portion of Lot 8 (see Exhibit B) Tuesdays, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., May 6, 2014 through October 28, 2014.

The agreement also addresses signage, cleanup, storage, insurance, and other issues.

ACTION:      Approve an agreement with the Lawrence Farmers Market allowing the use of City Parking Lot 8 (800 blocks of New Hampshire and Rhode Island) on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the 2014 Farmers Market season, if appropriate.
