The Police Department has requested bids for nine (9) Ford Police Utility Interceptors (Bid Number B1371) and three (3) interceptor sedans (Bid Number B1372).  Bids were received and Shawnee Mission Ford and Laird Noller Automotive.

Shawnee Mission Nine (9) Utilities	$240,960.00
Laird Noller Nine (9) Utilities	$241,018.00
Shawnee Mission Three (3) Sedans	$74,781.00
Laird Noller (3) Sedans	$74,937.00

Both bidders meet the specifications. The local preference ordinance applies in this case Laird Noller’s bids are within one percent of the Shawnee Mission bid.

Funding:

Funding has been approved in the 2014 budget process.
