RE:	2016 Art in the Park Street Event – May 1, 2016

The Lawrence Art Guild has requested a temporary use of right of way street event permit to close Massachusetts Street from North Park Street to South Park Street on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 6:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. for the 2016 Art in the Park Art Fair (see attached map). This event has been held annually in South Park and on Massachusetts Street.

Coordination with Planning, Parks and Recreation, Police, Fire/Medical, Lawrence Transit, eXplore Lawrence, East Lawrence Neighborhood Association, Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods and Downtown Lawrence, Inc. was completed with no issues identified.

ACTION

Approve temporary use of right-of-way permit for the Lawrence Art Guild to close Massachusetts Street from North Park Street to South Park Street on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 6:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. for the 2016 Art in the Park Art Fair.
