5.       Bid and purchase items:

c)       Authorize the City Manager to enter into a cost share agreement with the Kansas Water Office for a Kansas River Algal Study and approve payment to the Kansas Water Office in the amount of $30,257.   Staff Memo & Attachments

 

6.       Adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 9252,  enacting amendments to the City of Lawrence Building Code to require submittal of storm water grading and drainage plans for residential building construction projects on RS5 and RS3 zoned lots classified as “Zone X, Protected by Levee” on the city’s Flood Insurance Rate Map.   Staff Memo & Attachments

 

7.       Adopt Resolution No. 7169, authorizing the City to enter into a lease purchase agreement with U.S. Bancorp Government Leasing and Finance, Inc., to finance the acquisition of one Dodge Ram HD Truck with Utility Body and one Tandem Axle Dump Truck with spreader and plow for the Public Works Department, for a total amount of $244,259, and enter into an escrow agreement with U.S. Bank National Association.   Staff Memo & Attachments

 

8.       Concur with the recommendations of the Traffic Safety Commission for the following:

a)       Approve a Street Event Temporary Use of Right-of-Way Permit allowing the closure of the sidewalk only on the east side of Massachusetts Street, from 1016 Massachusetts Street south to 11th Street on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. for the Live on Mass Event.   Adopt on first reading Ordinance No. 9268, allowing the sale, possession and consumption of alcohol on the east side of Massachusetts Street, from 1016 Massachusetts Street south to 11th Street (sidewalk only) on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. for the Live on Mass Event.
