The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a multi-year listing of federally funded and locally significant non-federal funded improvements to the region’s transportation system. This document is developed in cooperation with FHWA, FTA, KDOT and affected transit operators. The TIP is reviewed on an annual basis. At a minimum, the TIP shall include all projects that are anticipated to receive any federal funds, as well as all other regionally significant transportation projects, whether or not these projects receive federal funding. All projects to which federal funding is pledged must be consistent with the long-range transportation plan.
