LPRD provides fall volunteer flower planting opportunities

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is preparing to beautify Lawrence’s downtown and other public areas for fall by planting mums. Volunteers can sign up for one or multiple days available.  Businesses and teams may see it as a great team building project.

Volunteers are needed at all time slots from the following days and locations:

  • 8:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 – Downtown Lawrence, Massachusetts Street
  • 8:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11 – Lawrence Public Library and other areas downtown
  • 8:30-11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 – Downtown Lawrence, Massachusetts Street

The department is looking for six to 10 volunteers to assist staff with the plantings. Specific information and meeting location will be provided at the time of sign up.  Volunteers must be at least 16 years-old.
