Walk-tober to showcase Lawrence Loop

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with Lawrence Memorial Hospital and LiveWell Lawrence to encourage participation in living an active, healthy lifestyle.

Walk the Loop is a six-segment walk following the Lawrence Loop on several Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of October. Participants will walk between two to three miles per night and have the option of logging their progress around Lawrence in a free passport provided at the trailhead. Walks begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 3-19, at various locations. The trailhead closes each night at 6 p.m. Walk the Loop is a free event open to participants of all ages.

Tuesday, Oct. 10 – Lawrence Family Church, intersection of N 1464 Road and E 902 Road
Thursday, Oct. 12 – Sunflower School, 2521 Inverness Dr.
Tuesday, Oct. 17 – Southwind Movie Theater, 3433 Iowa St.
Thursday, Oct. 19 – 910 E 29th St.
