Vegetation Visions: Minigardens to unlock horticultural creativity

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is allowing participants to unleash their creativity through customizable gardens.

Minigardens provides participants with the tools to creatively design and decorate their own miniature gardens. Containers, soil, plants and decorations are provided to allow participants to put their favorite theme into a miniature garden. It is 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St.

Children ages four years-old and up can participate. Children under 13 years-old must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $20 per participant. Only one garden is available per registered participant.
