LPRD program to discuss fundamentals of estate planning

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering a free class to teach citizens the basics of estate planning.

Fundamentals of Estate Planning is a presentation intending to educate Lawrence citizens on having a plan in the event that they themselves or a loved one dies or is incapacitated. Attendees will learn the uses of a will or a revocable living trust and the impact of estate and gift taxing – along with many other important tough financial topics. The event is open those 21 years-old and older.

It will be held 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Carnegie Building, 200 W. Ninth St. The session is free and open to the public. For those unable to attend, the session will be repeated 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17.
