Kansas City Classic Basketball Championships to be held at Sports Pavilion Lawrence

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Sports Pavilion Lawrence will be the site of the Kansas City Classic Basketball Championships Friday-Sunday, May 18-20.

The Kansas City Classic Basketball Championships is a nine years-old to 17 years-old tournament, showcasing teams from across the region.

The tournament will utilize all eight courts in the sports pavilion and will prevent free play to the public for duration of the tournament.  However, the other community recreation centers will have additional hours for free play.  Their schedules are as follows:

Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.
Friday, May 18 – 1-5 p.m.
Saturday, May 19 – 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, May 20 – noon-6 p.m.

East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St.
Friday, May 18 – 12-9 p.m.
Saturday, May 19 – 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, May 20 – 2-6 p.m.

Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St.
Friday, May 18 – 11:15 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 19 – 10 p.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, May 20 – 1-6 p.m.
