LPRD to enrich summer break with theatre camp

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Theatre Lawrence, is giving Lawrence youth the chance to enhance their skills in theatre.

What a Knight! is an acting camp open to children six years-old to 12 years-old and will provide children the opportunity to sing, dance and act their summer away. Young actors will enter and create the world of Camelot to produce a play based on King Arthur and his knights. Camp will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 11-15, at Theatre Lawrence, 4660 Bauer Farm Drive. Cost is $250 per child. Participants are asked to bring a sack lunches every day.

A live performance of What a Knight! will be held 3 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Theatre Lawrence. Admission is free.
