Cheer and Spirit Camp gives youth opportunity to build comradery

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, along with G-Force Athletics, will be holding a Cheer and Spirit Camp, providing the basics of cheerleading and teamwork.

Cheer and Spirit Camp participants will dance, cheer, learn chants and motion drills and perform jumps and basic stunts in addition to learning cheerleading techniques. Campers will follow a progressive format and learn correct body mechanics while learning these skills. The camp will be held 9-11 a.m. Monday-Friday, June 11-15, at G-Force Athletics, 725. N. Second St., and is open to children six years-old to 12 years-old. Cost is $115 per camper.
