LPRD concert series to continue Wednesday and Thursday

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department summer concert series continue this week.

The Lawrence City Band performance this week will be themed: Hollywood and Broadway Favorites. It will be held 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the William Kelly Bandstand located in historic South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to Murphy Hall, Room 130, on the University of Kansas campus.

The Brown Bag Concert Series will continue this week with a performance by Kim and the Quake. Their performance will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the Library Lawn next to the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held at Watkins Community Museum, 1047 Massachusetts St.
