Minigardens to unlock horticultural creativity

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center to get participants to unleash their creativity through customizable gardens.

Minigardens provides participants ages four years-old and older with the tools to design and decorate their own miniature gardens. Containers, soil, plants and decorations will be provided to allow participants to put their favorite theme into a miniature garden. Minigardens is 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St.

A second opportunity to create Minigardens will be held 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday, July 22. Cost is $20 per participant, per session. Children under 13 years-old must be accompanied by an adult.
