Time to van Gogh Outside: Art in Nature Camp to showcase nature’s creative side

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is hosting an adventure camp program giving youth a day of hands-on nature arts and crafts.

Art in Nature Camp provides children six years-old to 12 years-old with the tools and information needed to make a nature sketchbook and paint with nature’s colors. Campers will also make a nature-based, custom-designed t-shirt to take home. Camp is 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at the nature center, 2730 Harper St. Cost of the camp is $40.
