2018 City of Lawrence Golf Championship approaching

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Eagle Bend Golf Course and Learning Center in association with the Kansas Golf Association, will host the City of Lawrence Championship Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 4-5.

Tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. The City Championship is a 36-hole stroke play format with 18-holes being played on each day.  Players have the choice between two flights, Championship or Regular. The Regular Flight will have divisions for age and gender, including: Men’s Open Division (any age); Senior Division (50 years-old or older); Super Senior Division (70 years-old or older); Women’s Open Division (any age) and Senior Women (50 years-old or older). The Championship flight will not be flighted after the first round.

Entrants must have a USGA handicap established at Eagle Bend, Jayhawk Golf Club or Lawrence Country Club to be eligible to participate or reside in the city limits of Lawrence. Cost is $100 per entrant, which includes 36 holes of golf with cart and prizes. Deadline to enter is Friday, July 27. Eagle Bend is located at 1250 E. 902 Rd.
