LPRD gives youth chance to end the summer season with a splash

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will host camps at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center to give youth a final sendoff before school begins.

Wet ‘N’ Wild Aquatic Camp invites children five years-old to 12 years-old to participate in swimming lessons, water safety instruction, crafts, snacks and free swim time. At the end of each week, parents are invited to join for a pool party. Camp will be held 8 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday, July 23-27 and July 30-Aug. 3, at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Kentucky St.

Pre-registration is required due to limited space. Cost of the camp is $70 per child, per weekly session.
