LPRD develops Future Stars

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Sports Division will hold Future Stars program in four-week sessions to help improve the motor skills of young children.

Future Stars provides fun and engaging activities in a non-competitive atmosphere. Kids are introduced to different sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer, t-ball and football. This class teaches participants the basic skills of each sport, as well as teamwork and socialization with others.

Future Stars is open to children three years-old to five years-old and is being offered several times this summer:

10:30-11:20 a.m. Tuesday, July 24-Aug. 14
10:30 -11:20 a.m. Thursday, July 26-Aug. 16
10:30-11:20 a.m. Saturday, July 28-Aug. 18

Camp will be held at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $40 per child, per session.  There are also sessions planned this fall.
