Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Aquatic Division is hosting a gourd-based event that will provide fun for the whole family.

Pool of Pumpkins invites children ages two years-old to 12 years-old to swim the indoor pool in search of their favorite pumpkin. In addition to picking a pumpkin, participants will be treated to apple cider, snacks, crafts, a photo booth and an inflatable obstacle course.

The event will be held noon-2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive. Cost is $10 per person. Participants who have not pre-registered may pay $5 to participate in crafts and snacks, but will not have access to the pumpkin patch. All carving of pumpkins must be done at home.
