LPRD lines up dancing workshop

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering the opportunity to unlock the mystery of line dancing.

Line Dancing Workshop will teach the basic components of line dancing. Participants will dance to country, swing, pop, Latin, oldies and R&B music. This workshop will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St. Cost is $20 per person.

A second workshop will be held 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, October 5, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost for this session is $15.

For those looking to continue their practice, a Line Dancing Class is being offered 5:15-6:15 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 21-Dec. 12, at the Community Building. Cost of the class is $30 per person.
