Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is offering children the chance to get outside for guided hikes after the school day ends.
No Child Inside Hiking Adventures will take participants ages seven years-old to 12 years-old on guided nature hikes where they will take part in a variety of hike-related activities. The hike is 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Additional hikes will be held 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 3 and 17. Cost is $5 per child, per hike.
