Lifelong Recreation offering day trip to Emporia

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Lifelong Recreation division is offering Famous Natives, a day trip exploring famous Kansans in and around the city of Emporia.

Famous Natives invites lifelong participants to travel with LPRD to Emporia to explore the home of the William Allen White family, go on a guided tour through the community, and learn about Emporian Alvin J. King. The trip is Thursday, Nov. 1. The deadline to register for the trip is Tuesday, Oct. 16.
