A street mill & overlay and waterline replacement construction project is scheduled to start the week of October 15, 2018 on 23rd Street between Iowa and Louisiana Streets.
This fall, 23rd Street will be milled and overlaid between Iowa Street and Louisiana Street. Access to commercial driveways will be maintained throughout construction with temporary closures only occurring when milling/paving operations are adjacent to a driveway. Lane closures will occur for both eastbound and westbound traffic on 23rd Street. Delays are to be expected.
Concurrently with street repair operations, a waterline replacement project will begin on the south side of 23rd Street between Louisiana Street and Barker Avenue. The outside eastbound lane will be closed during this construction. Street milling and paving operations will be completed in November 2018. The waterline replacement will continue through the winter and be completed next spring 2019.
