Lawrence Parks and Recreation is hosting a meditation workshop designed to reduce stress, increase feelings of well-being and provide the ability to focus.

Yoga Meditation Workshop invites participants ages 15 years-old and older to explore meditation methods such as sutra, mantra, mindfulness and guided-relaxation meditation so that they may start their own meditation practice. The workshop is 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost of the workshop is $15.
