Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center will once again welcome turkeys to the nature center for a Thanksgiving program.
Turkey Time is open to children two years-old to five years-old and provides them the chance to get up close and personal with turkeys for an interactive turkey experience. The program is part of the weekly Tuesday program Wild Adventures for Preschoolers and Parents held 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Cost is $4 per child. Due to space limitations no more than one adult is allowed per child.
The turkeys are the pets of Dara Wilson, naturalist at the nature center.
