Nature Story Time for Preschoolers provides stories, live animals

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center continues its its longtime morning program for preschoolers and parents.

Nature Story Time for Preschoolers invites children one year-old to four years-old to a program featuring a different story and live animal each week. Programs take place 10-10:30 a.m. Thursdays, Jan. 3-March 7, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St.  Parents are required to attend.

Preregistration for classes is preferred but not required, and drop-in participants will be accepted. Fees per session is $3 per child. Enrollment can also be done for the whole series of sessions for $30 per child and can be registered online at: http://lprd.org/activity?n=123203,  or enrollment can also be conducted at any Parks and Recreation facility including: the Community Building, 115 West 11th St.; Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive; Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Kentucky St.; Prairie Park Nature Center or the Administrative Office in South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St.
