Grossology to showcase the sick science of nature

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is hosting a disgusting program focusing on the grosser members of the animal kingdom.

Grossology teaches children ages seven years-old to 12 years-old the importance of “gross” animals through games, hands-on activities and encounters with live animals. The program is 1-3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Cost is $10 per child.

A second Grossology session will be available 1-3 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the nature center.
