Considering a pet? Prairie Park Nature Center has just the class
Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering a class for those considering a new pet.
Pets: Right Choice, Right Care is a great resource for people considering a pet. This class will teach participants to make a well researched and practical pet choice for their specific circumstances. It will cover details like housing, feeding, costs, vet care, and handling of a wide variety of pet options. It is open to those 7 years-old to 17 years-old and a parent is welcomed to attend with their child. The class will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, February 3. The session will be held at the Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St., Lawrence, KS 66046. Cost is $10 per child.
