LPRD boots up for country dance class

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is taking enrollments for its country couples dancing class.

County Couples Variety Dancing teaches a wide variety of country dances including the two-step, waltz, polka and swing. This progressive class starts with the basic movements then explores the finer points of the dances. The class is being offered to those 15 years-old and older. It will be held 5:15-6:15 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 17-Mar. 24, at the Community Building, 115 West 11th St. Cost is $30 per person.
