Kids dive into class to devlop skills, safety

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Aquatic Division is accepting registrations for swim lessons this spring.

Lessons, part of the Learn-to-Swim program, are available at the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive. Sessions begin Feb. 11 and run for four weeks. Cost of each program is $48 per child for weekly lessons; $28 for Saturday lessons.  Classes available include: Parent/Child, Aqua Tots, Preschool, Level 1, Level 2,Level 3, Level 4, Level 5, Level 6, Adult, Adult 2 and Junior Swim. Pre-registration is required for all Learn-to-Swim classes and be can be done online at the links above or by visiting a Lawrence Parks and Recreation facility, including: the Community Building, 115 West 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center; Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St.; Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane or the Administrative Offices in historic South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St.
