Parks and Recreation Department
Starting Salary: $54,596 – $79,165 Annually, DOQ
RESPONSIBILITIES: The position performs analytical and technical duties in support of the Parks & Recreation Department, including annual reports, risk assessments, costs recovery, budget development and implementation, internal audits, special event permits, administrative policies, financial, operational and organizational issues. Serves as a liaison with employees, public and private organizations, community groups and other organizations. Provides leadership/support on special projects, including analyses, recommendations and strategic planning.
QUALIFICATIONS: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration or related field. A Master’s degree in Public Administration or related field is preferred. Must have at least two years of increasingly responsible experience in public or business administration, with focus on finance and budget administration, and demonstrated experience in creating, implementing and managing program-level initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and be adaptive, self-motivated, collaborative, innovative, and able to maintain a strong team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer technologies are critical.
