Children spring into action with martial arts class

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is holding spring martial arts classes for younger students.

Little Ninjas is designed with the younger student in mind and teaches the basic martial arts stances, coordination development and helps build physical control and balance. Participants will gain confidence, attention span and respect for others in a positive and fun environment. The class is offered 12-12:40 p.m. Sundays, March 17-May 12, at the Community Building, 115 West 11th St. Cost is $42 per student. To register online, visit: http://lprd.org/activity?n=217125.

Registration can also be done at any Parks and Recreation facility, including: the Community Building; Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane; East Lawrence Recreation Center; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive; Prairie Park Nature Center is located at 2730 Harper St. or the Administrative Office in South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St.
