Future Stars allows young athletes to experience various sports

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department youth sports will hold clinics for youth who aim to be Future Stars.

Future Stars provides fun and engaging activities in a non-competitive atmosphere and introduces participants to a wide variety of sports like sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer, t-ball and football. It is a four week-program aimed to improve the motor skills of young children and teach the basic skills of each sport, as well as teamwork and socialization.

Future Stars is open to children three years-old to five years-old and is being offered in sessions 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesdays, March 19-April 9, or Thursdays, March 21- April 11, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $40 per child, per session.
