Earth Day event organization underway, exhibitors, volunteers sought

The City of Lawrence is now accepting applications for the City’s Earth Day celebration.

Earth Day is fast approaching, and the City of Lawrence is hosting the city celebration 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in historic South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. An Earth Day parade, hosted by KU Environs, will begin at 11a.m., working from Eighth Street and winding down Massachusetts Street to South Park.

Applications are now open for exhibitors, food vendors, volunteers and parade participants for the event.
