Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will be holding classes on riding safety, basic bike maintenance and group riding skills.
Confident, Capable, Commuters is designed to benefit and educate bike riders of all levels. Classes will take place 6:30-9:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 13-18, at East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St. It is open to those 16 years-old and older. Participants must provide their own bicycle and helmet. The class is being taught by instructors certified by the League of American Bicyclists. Cost is $20 per person.
