Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive, will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, for training of new and current staff.
The training allows all new summer staff and current staff to learn policies and procedures, as well as review safety protocols prior to the opening of the Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Kentucky St., Memorial Day weekend for the summer season.
Since the facility will be closed, the Summer Swim Pass being sold Monday-Friday, May 20-24, will not be available for purchase during the time of the closure.
The Indoor Aquatic Center will return to normal operating hours 5:15 a.m. Thursday, May 23, for lap swimming.
