Teeball gives youth introduction, foundation in the sport of baseball

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Introduction to Teeball program, is open for registration.

Introduction to Teeball provides ideal entry-level play for boys and girls who will go on to other advanced levels of the game. The program teaches baseball and softball fundamentals such as hitting, running, throwing and fielding. Teeball is a perfect activity for preschool-aged boys and girls. A parent is required to participate with their child during instruction time.

Classes are held in four-week sessions 5:45-6:35 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with sessions running: Mondays, July 7-29; Tuesdays, July 9-30 and Thursdays, July 11-Aug. 1. The program is open to kids four years-old and five years- old.  All class sessions will be held at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost to participate is $45.
