Kevin PowellCity, Parks & Recreation

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, alongside Youth Tech Inc., is providing aspiring young movie producers and directors with an opportunity to hone their craft.

Movie Makers is open to children nine years-old to 17 years-old and provides instruction in digital video design and production. Participants will learn concepts, allowing them to be effective directors of digital video projects. Campers will create their very own 3D video that they can share with friends and family. Movie Makers is 9 a.m.-noon Monday-Thursday, July 8-11, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost of the camp is $150.
