LPRD teams up to offer engineering camp

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, along with Mad Science of Kansas City, will give youth the opportunity to explore the many fields of engineering.

Brixology offers children seven years-old to 12 years-old the opportunity to build different projects using critical thinking, cooperation and creative problem solving to test and improve creations. Along with Mad Science branded take-homes, each child will receive 20 bricks of their choice along with one building pad on the last day of camp. Camp will be held 8 a.m.-noon, Monday-Thursday, July 15-18, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane,. Cost is $130 per camper.
