LPRD offers youth a chance to make a big splash this summer

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will host aquatic camps at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center to give youth a final send off before school begins.

Wet ā€˜Nā€™ Wild Aquatic Camp invites children five years-old to 12 years-old to participate in a camp highlighted with swimming lessons, water safety instruction, crafts, snacks and free swim time. At the end of each week, parents are invited to join for a pizza party. Camp will be held 8 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday, July 22-26 and July 29-Aug. 2 at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Kentucky St.

Pre-registration is required due to limited space. Cost of the camp is $70 per child, per weekly session.
