LPRD offering winter-themed LEGO® day camp

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, along with Play-Well TEKnologies are offering Winter Wonderland, a youth LEGO® camp for the winter break.

LEGO® Winter Wonderland is open to those five years-old to 12 years-old. For those five years-old to seven years-old the camp will be held 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at the Carnegie Building, 200 W. Ninth St. For those eight years-old to 12 years-old the camp will be held 1-4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at the Carnegie Building.

Participants will build bobsleds, design snowmobiles, and take a ride on the Polar Express. Explore and learn the snowiest STEM concepts with tens of thousands of LEGO® pieces at the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Cost is $40 per participant.
