Future Stars aims to introduce children to the wide world of sports

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department youth sports will hold clinics for youth who aim to be Future Stars.

Future Stars provides fun and engaging activities in a non-competitive atmosphere and is a four week-program to improve the motor skills of young children, introducing a variety of sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer, t-ball and tumbling to them. The class teaches participants the basic skills of each sport, as well as teamwork and socialization with others.

Future Stars is open to children three years-old to five years-old and is being offered in sessions 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 4-25, or Thursdays, Feb. 6-27, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $40 per child, per session.
