Construction to close eastbound lane of 15th Street between Haskell Avenue and Maple Lane

Kevin PowellCity, Construction, Municipal Services and Operations

Beginning Monday, Jan. 27, construction work will necessitate the closure of the eastbound lane of 15th Street between Haskell Avenue and Maple Lane. The eastbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on construction days, but it will be open before and after the scheduled hours for through-traffic .

The suggested detour route to 19th Street will be marked with signage. Westbound traffic on 15th Street will not be affected by the construction work.

The construction schedule will adjust according to weather, and the lane will be open if work is not actively being done on the project. It is anticipated that the project will take three weeks, pending weather and other construction-related delays.

The construction project will fill a sidewalk gap and is funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program. The attached map identifies the portion of the sidewalk that is being completed as well as the anticipated lane closure.
