Guitar lessons offered to Lawrence community

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering guitar lessons to Lawrence’s fledgling musicians.

Beginning Guitar is an introductory class which teaches students chords, tablature, rhythm patterns and standard notation through the use of familiar melodies and songs. It is open to participants 14 years-old and older. Class will be held 7-8 p.m. Mondays, March 16-May 4, at the Community Building, 115 West 11th St. Cost is $68.

Students will need to bring a guitar to class.
