Future Stars allows young athletes to experience various sports

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department youth sports will hold clinics for youth who aim to be Future Stars.

Future Stars provides fun and engaging activities in a non-competitive atmosphere and introduces participants to a wide variety of sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer, t-ball and tumbling. Future Stars is a four week-program aimed to improve the motor skills of young children and teach the basic skills of each sport, as well as teamwork and socialization.

The clinic is open to children three years-old to five years-old and is being offered in sessions 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesdays, March 17-April 7, or Thursdays, March 19- April 9, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $40 per child, per session.
