The City of Lawrence has extended the deadline for filing self-repaired sidewalk hazards to the City for inspection as part of phase 2 of the Sidewalk Improvement Program from April 30 to May 31, 2020.
The deadline was extended to help Lawrence residents who may be experiencing both time and financial burdens due to COVID-19.
Those who plan to self-repair must have an inspection scheduled with the City by May 31. Those wishing to utilize the City-selected contractor do not need to make the City aware of their intent. The properties that have not had hazards repaired or that have not scheduled inspection of their self-repairs to the City by the May 31 deadline will automatically be included in the City’s bid.
All timelines for phase 2 of the Sidewalk Improvement Program related to bidding and payment will remain the same. For more information, visit lawrenceks.org/sidewalk-improvement/.
